‘Just getting started:’ Granger Shook leaving Trinity to take over football program at Pike Road

Granger Shook is leaving his alma mater, Trinity Presbyterian, to become the new head coach at Pike Road.

Shook, 37, was approved earlier this week. He told his Trinity team of the move on Tuesday and is speaking with his new team this morning.

“I’m very excited about the opportunity Dr. (Keith) Lankford (superintendent) and Miss. (Andrea) Maness (principal) have given me to help lead the Pike Road community,” Shook told AL.com. “It’s a booming area. I believe the future is bright, and I believe we are just getting started.
